The majority of care for the dying and bereaved is provided by the ‘generalist’ and not the specialist hospice palliative care teams.
This area is for hospice palliative care educators, and will be a fundamental resource for those integrating the “Essentials in Hospice Palliative Care” resources in core curriculum or workplace education.
The “Essentials” resources are designed to bring current Hospice Palliative Care knowledge to life, to ensure that students receive standardized content while also decreasing instructor preparation time. We use diverse strategies to engage differing learning styles and enhance classroom discussion, while honouring time constraints.
The Educator's Blog is intended to be a place for sharing of ideas, responding to questions from instructors, and introducing new resources that prove helpful for teaching hospice palliative care. The Blog is available to those who are integrating the “Essentials” in their education programs. Colleges using these resources will have an access code for their instructors. If you are using these materials independently, please contact Kath to register.
